DoenetML version 0.7.12 released

We just released a new version 0.7.12 of DoenetML with one new feature:

  • the ability to add <annotations> to a <graph renderer="prefigure">, which can then be read by a screen reader to explore the graph.

Check out this demo.

I am very interested in this! But on beta I just get errors. I tried copying the source to a new activity so that I could change the version to dev but I see the same thing. I didn’t try it within PreTeXt, yet.

Yeah, this happens because your browser is still caching the old 0.7.11 version. You can see the current version in the lower right corner of the left panel.

In Chrome, I can get it to refresh the cache by pressing Control+Shift+J to open the Javascript console, then then holding down the browser refresh button in the upper left. When that console is open, that refresh button opens a menu and I select “Empty cache and hard reload.”

(In Firefox, I had the hardest time getting it to update and spent 20 minutes with AI following all different suggestions.)

You could always clear your browser data, but that’s a bit disruptive as you lose your saved logins, etc. Maybe if you have a web browser that you haven’t used with Doenet, it will fetch the newest version.

Otherwise, in a day or so, I’d think that it should eventually fetch the new version.

I even tried hard refreshing because that gets me a lot, but it didn’t seem to work before.

Anyway, now I see it, and it’s super cool! Thanks for working on this!
