Is the default displayMode for a graph supposed to be inline now?

I noticed two things -

one - displayMode = “block” doesn’t work anymore; it does nothing

two - the default mode appears to now be inline.

Obviously the first thing is a bug, but I’m not sure about the second. Just created an issue #808 on this
