I have a triggerSet in a short tutorial at the start of my document. When I close my <section> tag right before the trigger set, everything is fine. I am working in 0.7dev.
As soon as I move my tag to the end of the trigger set, I get this error:
Circular dependency involving these components: <_copy> (line 63), (lines 68–75), (line 69),
(lines 67–76), (lines 13–93).
Am I putting a triggerSet as a child where it doesn’t belong?
Trigger Set in Section
Can you send me a sample DoenetML that invokes the error?
In general, putting a trigger set inside or outside a section shouldn’t matter. Either it is a bug or it could be that the reference of a $ref changes when you go outside the section, creating a circular dependence.
This is a bug, but there are easy workarounds.
Options:
- Replace the reference
$part_button.label with the literal text Partition Rectangle, eliminating the reference that is causing the spurious circular reference.
- If you want a single source of truth, move the
<label>Partition Rectangle</label> inside a <setup> and then reference that label both in the trigger set and in the text..
