Would it be possible to add a warning at the top of an activity, similar to the one above the scratchpad, informing students that they are not logged in and that, if they wish to have their work graded, they should log in first? I mentioned that students should look in the top-right corner; if they see a ?, they are not logged in, but a few still failed to log in first.
To clarify: it sounds like your students are taking the assignment anonymously without realizing they are anonymous. Is that right?
We can definitely add a warning on that page (like on the scratch pad) reminding students they are anonymous. Not sure if we would want a “login to save” button on that warning since some instructors might want their students not have to make an account.
